8/08/08- The Sky City, which is the biggest Gambling operators of New Zealand, has faced the 24 Hrs strike by its casino workers and food workers. This strike was the result of the negotiations with the wagers amount.

The 1300 workers union of Sky City is demanding that their pay-raise request should be met otherwise they are planning for a rolling strike until next year.

The Cleaners and the kitchen workers are demanding an increase of 5% in their pay this year and another increase of 5% next year.
