January 21st, 2009
Now these days, a slump has been noticed in visiting casinos, fewer peoples are interested and participating in gambling. So in Las Vegas the casino construction has been affected and stopped from one end. Where as in US most of the projects have been altered or stopped.
Last month most of the casinos have reduced their employees and slashed the room rates too. Chief financial officer for Harrah’s Entertainment Jonathan Halkyard, said, “There has been a shocking lack of innovation around our core product in this industry when compared to virtually any other consumer entertainment product over decades,” “Look at the slot machine, it’s basically the same as it was 75 years ago.”
Harrah’s conducting some special try outs to attract crowd like sending guests same-day specials at shows, clubs and restaurants by text messages.
