Celebration Time For KCK casino
January 9th, 2009
It’s the celebration time for Kansas City, Kan on its first anniversary on Friday. The first anniversary is being celebrated not only with flourishes but it has also established that it made business sense to run such an enterprise.
Before opening the casino publicly in an old Masonic lodge, a pipe ceremony was conducted by Leaford Bearskin, the Chief of Wyandotte Nation. In 2004, this old building was a mark different from a chain of mobile homes with $20 million peoples, where the enterprising tribal inhabitants had set up a crude casino and which was shut by a brusque state administration.
It was almost a year since that momentous opening of the casino and Bearskin was also surprised by the turn of events this Thursday. In an interview from Oklahoma, Bearskin said that the people of the Kansas City would be overjoyed to have the Wyandottes in town.
